What we collect

We collect only data you send by email or telephone: your email address, telephone number if provided, message content, and metadata needed to reply. We do not operate contact forms, newsletter sign-ups, or user accounts on this website.

Why we collect it

We use your data solely to respond to editorial enquiries, tips, correction requests, and privacy-related requests. We do not sell personal data. We do not use your data for targeted advertising on this site.

Google Maps embeds

Each page may include a Google Maps iframe showing the Short Street neighbourhood. When you load a map, Google may collect usage data and set cookies according to Google's policies. Maps load only if you accept functional cookies or choose Load map on the placeholder. See our cookie notice for controls.

Cookie categories

Essential cookies store your consent choice. Functional cookies enable map embeds. Analytics cookies remain off by default and are not used in the current build.

Retention

Email correspondence is retained as long as needed to handle the enquiry and for a reasonable period thereafter for editorial and legal purposes, then deleted or anonymised unless we are required to retain it longer.

Your rights

Under the PDPA you may request access to, correction of, or withdrawal of consent for your personal data. Contact [email protected] with your request. We respond within a reasonable period.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal data held in our mail systems. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.
